Our Programmes
Three Programmes,
One Clear Direction
Each Compass Hours programme is designed for a different stage of retirement preparation. A single workshop for households beginning to explore the topic. A short course for those ready to go deeper. An annual programme for households making preparation a sustained focus over twelve months.

How Compass Hours Workshops Are Built
Every programme shares the same underlying approach — a structured session plan, printed materials, and a facilitator who keeps the work moving without straying into advice that belongs with qualified professionals.
Defined Session Plan
Each workshop follows a documented plan. Participants know the agenda before they arrive.
Printed Materials
Workbooks, handouts, and reading lists — designed for use after the session, not just during it.
Facilitated Discussion
The facilitator manages the session pace, answers general questions, and redirects specialist ones appropriately.
Clear Closing Summary
Every session ends with a summary of what was covered and what to focus on before the next step.
Programme One
Single Workshop Attendance
RM 480 per person
A standalone two-hour workshop on a single retirement preparation topic. Workshops run on a rotation that currently includes household record organising, calendar planning for the year before retirement, and family discussion preparation. Each session is led by a facilitator and includes a printed workbook and a list of further reading.
The session is educational and does not include any individual advice. Walk-in seats are sometimes available subject to capacity; advance registration is preferred and is taken by phone or email.
What is included:
- Two-hour facilitated session on one topic
- Printed workbook for the session topic
- Curated further reading list
- Q&A time with the facilitator
- No prior preparation required
Session process:
- Register by phone or email (walk-in subject to availability)
- Receive session brief and workbook on arrival
- Two-hour structured session with facilitator
- Closing summary and further reading guidance
Programme Two
Three-Workshop Course
RM 1,150 per person
A short course of three workshops scheduled across six weeks. The course covers household records, family conversations, and a reading-and-reflection session. Each workshop builds on the previous one and is designed to be followed sequentially, with light reading between sessions to consolidate what was covered.
Participants receive a printed workbook for the course, three handouts, and a follow-up reading list. The course pairs well with independent consultation with qualified professionals where personal advice is needed. It is most suitable for adults preparing to retire within three to ten years.
What is included:
- Three two-hour workshop sessions over six weeks
- Course workbook and three session handouts
- Follow-up reading list after course completion
- Between-session reading guidance
- Q&A time at each session
Course structure:
- Session 1 (Week 1): Household records — what to organise and where
- Between sessions: Suggested reading and independent review
- Session 2 (Week 3): Family conversations — how to structure the discussion
- Between sessions: Conversation prep and notes
- Session 3 (Week 6): Reading and reflection — drawing the threads together
Programme Three
Household Retirement Year
RM 2,720 for two participants
12-month programme · Suitable for couples and households
An annual programme that supports a household across the twelve months of preparation. Includes attendance at the full workshop calendar, three private one-on-one sessions with a senior facilitator, and a written annual review at year's end.
The team's role is educational and organisational. Specialist questions are referred to qualified professionals the household engages independently. The annual review summarises the household's organising work over the year and identifies areas to revisit before the transition.
What is included:

- Three private one-on-one sessions with a senior facilitator
- All printed workbooks and handouts for attended sessions
- Written annual review document at year's end
- Priority registration for all workshops
Programme flow:
- Onboarding session to map the household's starting position
- Attendance at scheduled group workshops across the year
- Private facilitator session at months 3, 6, and 9
- Written annual review delivered at month 12
