Three Programmes,
One Clear Direction

Each Compass Hours programme is designed for a different stage of retirement preparation. A single workshop for households beginning to explore the topic. A short course for those ready to go deeper. An annual programme for households making preparation a sustained focus over twelve months.

Our Methodology

How Compass Hours Workshops Are Built

Every programme shares the same underlying approach — a structured session plan, printed materials, and a facilitator who keeps the work moving without straying into advice that belongs with qualified professionals.

01

Defined Session Plan

Each workshop follows a documented plan. Participants know the agenda before they arrive.

02

Printed Materials

Workbooks, handouts, and reading lists — designed for use after the session, not just during it.

03

Facilitated Discussion

The facilitator manages the session pace, answers general questions, and redirects specialist ones appropriately.

04

Clear Closing Summary

Every session ends with a summary of what was covered and what to focus on before the next step.

Programme Two

Three-Workshop Course

RM 1,150 per person

A short course of three workshops scheduled across six weeks. The course covers household records, family conversations, and a reading-and-reflection session. Each workshop builds on the previous one and is designed to be followed sequentially, with light reading between sessions to consolidate what was covered.

Participants receive a printed workbook for the course, three handouts, and a follow-up reading list. The course pairs well with independent consultation with qualified professionals where personal advice is needed. It is most suitable for adults preparing to retire within three to ten years.

What is included:

  • Three two-hour workshop sessions over six weeks
  • Course workbook and three session handouts
  • Follow-up reading list after course completion
  • Between-session reading guidance
  • Q&A time at each session

Course structure:

  1. Session 1 (Week 1): Household records — what to organise and where
  2. Between sessions: Suggested reading and independent review
  3. Session 2 (Week 3): Family conversations — how to structure the discussion
  4. Between sessions: Conversation prep and notes
  5. Session 3 (Week 6): Reading and reflection — drawing the threads together
